A great first day kids. Please take a look at
Stephen Colbert's interview with the author to get a feel for what the book is about. In your comment talk about whether or not your interested in purchasing and reading. Also, in case you've misplaced
your guided questions.....
Whats up with this? The guy sat there, explaining the mind, while being made the but of every joke. Funny.
ReplyDeleteAfter watching this video I thought about how tricky the mind can be. You truly never know the truth about things created but unseen or unheard if we have no evidence; yet, we make up so many things and live by them. The video was very interesting.
ReplyDelete"There's somebody else in my head"
ReplyDelete"Are you high"
"The brain is the CEO"
???Naked horse backriding???
can we die and wake up? lol
"British Brain"
.. funny stuff...
I'm interested in purchasing and reading "Incognito". The author seems pretty cool and it seems like the book would be really fun to read, also. I might just go out and buy it.
ReplyDeleteThe book Incognito seems like it is worth reading... at least that's the way the author portrayed it. On the show, the author presented information about the book in an interesting way, so I assume the book is as well. This is definitely a book a would consider purchasing.
ReplyDeletei think this book seems interesting now because of how it as being described and talked about in the video and i would probably buy it. but at the same time i feel like i would lose interest with time.
ReplyDeleteFunny. I like how he used metaphors to elaborate his points about the brain. "Is this Inseption",I never really thought about the difference between dreams and reality. Am i really sittn here typing or am i sleep thinking bout doin my homework. Is it all a simulation?hmmmmm :?
ReplyDeleteI agree, the interview was funny but yet intriguing. I David Eagleman's analogy about the sub-parts of the brain being like different political parties wanting control was interesting. I was looking for a part two of the video to see what else Eagleman had to say.
ReplyDeleteI would read this book. It would definitely be something different from what I read. I am so interested in what everything David said because I had never heard these things before. I would buy this book.
ReplyDeleteI remembered seeing this video from a while back. Definitely looks like something I would be interested in reading.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is HILARIOUS ! The book seems interesting i can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteI would be very interested in purchsing his book. Its seems funny, attention grabing and very informative. He makes yu question the difference between reality and dreaming. To me this book is for people who are curious to kno how the brain truly works. So for me I would definitely buy!!!
ReplyDeleteI think there is something seriously wrong with this man lol. I think he sounds very educated though. I would enjoy reading this book for a good read and a good laugh.
ReplyDeleteLol, this was really funny! Honestly, I probably would enjoy reading Incognito. The author had a sense of humor which makes me think the book would be interesting as well. I like how he uses analogies to explain things. This would make more complicated concepts easier for a high school student to understand.

ReplyDeleteAfter watching the clip it seems that Incognito is worth buying and reading. I may have to to check it out. The author seems real cool also.
ReplyDeleteugh, omg this is my second time commenting this blog is not very productive, anyway like i said before i will definately be reading this book , i really liked the fact that the interview had huumor in it, it made it much easier to watch, also it really makes me think the brilliant ideas that i have on monday were the always here? have they just been dying to get out? who is really controlling me me or the "parliament" inside of me?
ReplyDeleteWhile viewing this video, I found things that were interesting and caught my attention. Though I already know how tricky the mind can be, this video went more in depth and broadened my view of the mind. My keyword is evidence. As we dicussed in class on Aug. 10th, you can clearly see relations similar to those discussed in class and in the video. Things that are not seen nor heard tend to lack evidence. I would definitely consider purchasing this book because it seeks to be interesting. - Harvey
ReplyDeleteFunny ! I thought the interview was very catchy and grabs your attention, hopefully the books does the same. I will purchase the book.. :)
ReplyDeleteThe book "Incognito" seems very interesting from the way the author described in the interview.A lot of things caught my attention. They made the interview live and not boring. It was funny! But it makes you think at the same time.
